E-SCOOTER SEIZED IN CANNOCK

This afternoon, officers seized an electric scooter following a road traffic collision in Cannock.

Checks revealed that the e-scooter was being used without the required insurance. As a result, the vehicle was seized by officers.

Many people are unaware that privately owned e-scooters can only be used on private land with the landowner's permission. Their use on public roads, pavements and cycle lanes is not permitted, and riders may be committing offences including driving without insurance.
